In addition to our totally incredible 20 Under 20 list, we’re bringing you the second installment of our Prospie Awards: TP’s Blogger Awards!

Here at TP, we’re obviously gigantic fans of blogging and new media (and just the Internet in general). And of course, we want to reward young people who’ve been blogging away! Thus, we’ve created our Blogger Awards to recognize students for their incredible blogging efforts. And who gets to make sure the coolest young bloggers get  acknowledged? You do, by nominating them!

Whom should I nominate for TP’s Blogger Awards?

The only qualification is that the person needs to currently be either a high school student or college undergraduate, but other than that, we’re up for looking at any blog. However, in case you’re looking for a little inspiration, here are some blog categories that we’re particularly interested in:

  • Fashion/Style/Beauty
  • Lifestyle
  • DIY
  • Music
  • Graphics/Art/Design
  • Photography
  • Fitness/Health
  • Athletics
  • College
  • Miscellaneous (anything that doesn’t fit into the categories above!)

Important: We’re specifically looking for kids who deserve recognition but haven’t gotten it yet! We want to showcase the next big up-and-comers, the movers and shakers, as opposed to people who’ve already been honored by mainstream media.

What do I need to do to nominate someone for TP’s Blogger Awards?

It’s quite simple to nominate someone! Please include the following pieces of information in a comment at the bottom of this post:

  • The blog URL and preferably the name (first and last, if possible) of the person who writes it.
  • 1-2 words about what kind of blog it is (music, fashion, lifestyle, college life, etc.).
  • 3-4 sentences about why this blog is awesome!

Additionally, if the blog is a collaboration between multiple people, that’s totally fine! We just ask that everyone involved be a current high school student or college undergraduate.

Note: Nominations must be made through the comment section of this post! We will not be accepting nominations that are emailed to us or posted on any of our social media pages.

How many people can I nominate?

You can nominate as many peeps as you want!

Can my nomination be anonymous?

What is the deadline to nominate someone?

We’ll be accepting nominations until Monday, February 10th, at midnight EST.

When will TP’s Blogger Awards lists be announced?

The list will go live on February 19th, our official one-year anniversary date!

Have any questions? Feel free to email us at! Know what young person’s blog you want to nominate? Sound off in the comment section below!

sunny shan! she inspires me so much, reading about her story of how she joined track her junior year and just flourished as an athlete and a person overall~ as her tumblr url, might suggest, she’s amazingly strong physically & mentally; in addition she dedicates so much of her time answering her followers questions and whatnot. her ootds are fabulous, and her selfie game is ON POINT.

Meredith Wade is a great blogger on WordPress; her blog (the lighthouse, originally titled Plan B) is found at She hasn’t been as active lately, due to college, but her posts about her experiences and society are always so thought-provoking to read. She blogs about things important to her, be it music, her travels (she initially started the blog to talk about her time in Morocco), her college app experience, issues with society, and life as a whole. So it’s a little bit of everything. I think this blog is awesome, just because there are some really interesting ideas expressed and her writing (along with videos recently) is pretty eloquent.

I’d love to nominate Catherine McMullan! Her blog, is full of life’s ups and downs, and cute things in between! She’s not afraid to write about anything, so long as she has an opinion on it! She’s a high school senior, and is very enthusiastic about her blog and living. Her post about why she blogs is my favorite. She has a different kind of lens up to her eyes when it comes to looking at life, and this perspective is very refreshing to read from such a remarkable young woman.

I’d like to nominate Hannah Polinski. Her blog ( is about her daily life, but she explains it all so poetically. I’m so enthralled by everything she posts because of her honesty and fresh voice. Her poetry is so raw and real, and she isn’t afraid to say exactly what she means. Her blog inspires people to be ambitious and start living rather than just sitting around and waiting for things to happen, but she also makes it clear that it’s okay to have doubts. More importantly, though, she shows how we can overcome those doubts. Above all, nearly anyone can connect with her poetry because it’s just so authentic. I admire the way she uses her blog to truly express herself without fear.
